Big Bang Explosion & Sunday Worship Cause Idolatry
Many people, including many professed Christians, wonder where we come from. They know that we are here on the Planet Earth but are unaware of our origin. So, they wonder how we have come into existence. This way they wonder “Could it be that we were made by God the Creator? Or are we a product of Evolution?” And they go on to say “If I could see God, I’d believe in Him. But since I cannot see Him, how am I to believe in Him?” Yes, according to atheism, Evolution is the only truth of our existence on earth. They say “Evolution is sound!” But I myself wonder “Could this be true as they claim it?” Are we a product of a thing─Big Bang explosion? You see, this Evolution Theory leads us to believing a thing. It draws us away from the Creator God into believing an idol─a thing─as something out of which we have come into existence (Sphere explosion). Actually, this lines up with idol worship. Imagine if we all believed in this Evolution Theory. What would that result in? It would certainly result in idol worship. None of us would worship God as our Creator. We would worship such a sphere instead. Oh what a great danger! Remember that God forbids us to worship idols (see Exodus 20:4-6).
The fact that atheists want to see God means that they do have some feeling of the existence of God within themselves. So, they wonder why we don’t see God. And as far as we know, it is because of sin that has hidden the face of God from us, sinners (Isaiah 59:2). However, God exists. He surely is. And now that He has provided Jesus─the offering for our sins─He wants us to have fellowship with Him. He doesn’t want us to be idolaters by giving into Evolution Theory. Rather, He wants us to acknowledge Him as our Creator God. That’s why the 1st Angel says “Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” Rev. 14:7. Yes, the angel says this way “Worship God the Creator, not a creature!” But the Devil doesn’t want us to do so. He has always fought against the true worship of the Creator God. He always tries to exalt an idol as a god. In the ancient Babylon, he enticed king Nebuchadnezzar to raise an image for the whole world to bow down before it so as to worship it (Daniel 3:1-7). Fortunately, Daniel and his companions, however, refused to worship it, for they knew that only the true Creator God is to be worshiped as in Revelation 14:7. Says the Apostle Paul “They traded the truth about God for a lie. So they worshiped and served things God created instead of the Creator Himself, who is worthy of eternal praise. Amen!” Romans 1:25.
Now the devil has introduced ‘Sun worship’ into Christianity. Most of the professed Christians meet on Sunday─day of the sun─thinking that they are worshiping the true God, little do they realize that their worship is dedicated to the sun─idolatry! You see, Sunday’s equation can be this way: sun+day=day of the Sun, NOT the day of the Lord, the true Creator God.
The Sabbath Reminds you of the Creator God
However, God Himself has chosen a unique day for worshiping Him as our Maker. This day is far more different from the other days. It is the day referred to by the 1st Angel in Revelation 14:7, for that’s when the Lord rested after creating our world in six days. In fact, God, the Creator, created our world from the 1st day up to the sixth day, and thus create humans on the sixth to inhabit the earth. And He rested on the Seventh day to make it a memorial of our Creator God (see Genesis 2:1-3), so that we would not be snared to believe Evolution Theories. Most importantly, this Seventh day is unique through the weekly cycle. It is not like the first day of the week─so-called Sunday, which is idolatry. Instead, the Seventh day is the day we are reminded of our origin as we take a marvelous look at the Creation work of God our only Creator, worthy of our worship (Acts 14:15). It is the day our Creator God “rested, blessed and sanctified” for worshiping Him as our sufficient Maker. Here is the Bible record: “Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Genesis 2:1-3. You see, through the Sabbath Truth we are reminded of our Creator God as opposed to Evolution Theories. Yes, this is how we are to worship the true God as we find Him identified in the message of the 1st Angel, pointing at this Sabbath Truth “Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters” Rev. 14:7. Yet, today many people, including thousands of professed Christians, stand up at pulpits, saying “The Sabbath Day does not matter now!” Sadly, the people, saying those things, make mistakes about so many things. In fact, they just don’t know the Holy Scriptures. Jesus says to them “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God” Matt. 22:29. Though unpopular, we are told to keep the Seventh-day Sabbath holy because “…in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day, and hallowed it.” Exodus 20:11. And Christ, our Savior, kept the Seventh-day Sabbath also (see Luke 4:16, 31). So, we are to keep it holy! The truth is that once we are followers of Christ, we are to “follow in His footstep” says 1 Peter 2:21. This is how we know we are God’s people as keep His Sabbath Day holy, for He says “Keep my Sabbath days holy; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God.” Ezekiel 20:20. Would you like to keep the Seventh-day Sabbath holy to publicly express your belief in the Creator God? This is the right time. Next Seventh-day Sabbath (Saturday), go to Church which is nearby. I pray that you’ll learn to follow Jesus, who is the Sabbath Maker and Keeper!!
