Is th” End of the World True?
You have chosen to view this post, because, deep within you, you need to know what awaits you in this world, so that you can prepare for its encounter. So, first, I should ask you this question: “Whose citizen are you?” Clearly, those viewing this post manage to see it because they are in this world, where the post is from. Of course, all of us are from this world just as much as the post is! However, there’s a big difference between “being from this world” and “belonging to this world.” Those who belong to this world are fully satisfied with it that they never dream of traveling to another place possible, whereas those who are only from the world, as they’ve gotten sick and tired of it, when promised of a better place, can surely move to that, which is perfect! You see, here we find two different groups of people: those who are lovers of the world and the pilgrims of the world, longing for a better place from God. So, what side are you on?
As we open God’s Word, the Bible, we find the Future and Fate of this world disclosed. So what do you think? Is there a hope in this world? Do we await a brilliant future from the world? What about the violence taking place day after day? What about senseless murder underworld? Oh how terrible! Even a nation has become a prey of another as in Xenophobia in South Africa! Can you make sense out of Xenophobia? Of course not! So what fate do we await from this world? Beyond a shadow of a doubt, with all the multiple sins of the world, we cannot await a nice fate thereof. Yes, it’s a high time for the lovers of the world to mourn for its terrible fate.
“The earth mourns and dries up, and the crops waste away and wither. Even the greatest people on earth waste away. The earth suffers for the sins of its people, for they have twisted God’s instructions, violated his laws and broken his everlasting covenant. Therefore a curse consumes the earth. Its people must pay the price for their sin. They are destroyed by fire, and only a few are left alive” Isaiah 24:6
God’s People Will Be Delivered
Knowing that there’s destruction awaiting this world, what’s your refuge choice? I hope you’ll turn to Jesus Christ, who died to grant you the Eternal Life! He will come again to rescue you just as He rescued the Israel from the ancient oppressive Egypt. His Second Coming will be a Universally Visible Event for all to behold!
“But we are looking forward to the new heavens and the new earth he has promised, a world filled with God’s righteousness.” 2 Peter 3:13
Yes, as in the story of Noah, God is about to destroy this world for its many sins, but the righteous believers in Christ will be rescued to something far better than this sick world. When Jesus returns to the Planet Earth, this will be accomplished: the dead will be resurrected as Jesus Himself was from the tomb, and the Living Righteous Christians, along with the Resurrected, will be caught up to heaven (read 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18), while this terrible world is destroyed with all of its wickedness (read Matthew 24:29-31). Then, God will restore this world to its peaceful, perfect and sin-free original condition as He did in Noah’s times, so that we can come back to our restored Eden-Home (the New Jerusalem), where we can live free from death, suffering, sorrow and pain.
This is the Biblical Account:
“And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” Revelation 21:1-4 NLT
Wow, what a wonderful promise for all of us, who are sick of this sinful world!
