God is loving. The logical question then comes: why is there so much suffering in the world? If God is good why is there so much evil in His creation?

  1. Evil Began in Heaven

Revelation 12:7-8                                     Heaven, the place of perfection, is where evil began.

Why Would God Create a Devil?
Ezekiel 28:14-15            God did not create the Devil, but a mighty angel who had a free will.
Isaiah 14:12-14                  The Devil became envious of God’s position and desired to overtake Him.

Genesis 3:1-7                  The Devil convinced mankind to share in his rebellion, and thus evil spread to  earth.

Zechariah 3:1                    The Devil accuses God’s people.

2 Corinthians 11:13-14               He masquerades as an angel of light.

The Cost of Evil

Luke 4:5-6      The Devil claims the dominion of the earth after man shared in his rebellion.

Romans 5:12                   The entire human race has been plunged into sin.

Psalms 51:5                     The nature of the human race has changed as a result of mankind’s
A Rescue Plan
Hebrews 2:14-17          Jesus became one of us so He could defeat the Devil and pay the price for our sin.

1 Peter 5:8-9                  We must resist the Devil, knowing that Jesus has conquered him.

James 4:7-8                           We resist the Devil by drawing near to God.
