Every person on earth — people born into this world or those already in the world — understands that this is no simple but a troubling world. With that said, each one of us succumbs to day-to-day pain, which we experience from our birthday all the way to our last day here.
All students of the Bible understand that when this world was created, there was no suffering but peace on earth (look into Genesis chapter 1 through chapter 2). However, when Adam and Eve—the symbol of humanity–went beyond the command of the Creator God into disobedience, they fell short of the glory of God. As a result, there were terrible consequences of Sin in the world, to which humans are still seeking solutions. Yet, the solutions are only possible in the hands of Him, who is mostly rejected —- God.
The Solution to Sin’s Problems
Although we are shrouded in mysterious problems of the world, we need not be hopeless, because, as I’d said earlier, here’s a clue in the hands of our God Jesus Christ. Truthfully, Jesus came to earth to provide us with the solution to the Sin’s problems. Yes, he suffered and died, so that we would not have to die eternally. Note carefully, I said “die eternally” which is different from these deaths, which are just temporary.
Eternal Death versus Temporary.
As much as the adjective “Eternal” is concerned, Eternal Death would, then, mean dying forever with no hope of Resurrection. Hopefully, with the death of our Savior Jesus Christ, these deaths, taking place on regular basis, are only temporary. There is a wonderful future in store for everyone who believes in Jesus. Jesus died but rose again. Therefore, those who die in Christ will someday rise again to live eternally, once and for all the time, freed from death, suffering and every evil.
Isn’t that a wonderful future lying ahead for you and me?
